Description Egle K. 2003-01-30 12:23:19 UTC
It is very unconfortable and not user friendly to search by the word in
file name in gnome search tool as it is not enough to enter just the needed
word in file name, but it is necessary to surround the word by asteriscs.

Example: I wanted to find all files in which names the word 'linux' was. So
i typed word - linux - in search tool field 'words in file name' , but no
files were found. I managed to find the necessary files just when I was
told that I have to type *linux*.

Guess it is very unconfortable and not user friendly as people usually type
just the word they want to find without any surounding symbols.

Fixed in the HEAD branch. The 'File is named' field was changed to
'Name contains'. Unfortunately, this change did not make it into the
code base until after the gnome-2-2 freeze.
