Package: gnome-panel Severity: major Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: vertical panel with battstat applet crashes on restart Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: The only change I can attribute this crash to is my panel is now vertical. on the first restart the panel will not open and crashes / tries to restart repeatedly. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. add battstat to horizontal panel 2. make panel verical 3. restart Actual Results: battstat applet crashes, then panel crashes. wash, rinse, repeat. Expected Results: Battstat app and panel start normally. How often does this happen? only when panel is vertical Additional Information: XFree86 ver. 4.2.0 Realease 72 (from redhat 8 cd) gnome-panel ver. 20.6 Release 9 battstat applet came from rpm package gnome-applets 1.0.1 rel 6 (from redhat 8 cd) Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)...[New Thread 8192 (LWP 18865)] 0x420ae169 in wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
