When trying to save an image by pressing ctrl+left mouse button this does
not work anymore like it did in Galeon 1.2.7

Some additional infos about the version used:

Galeon 1.3.1 built from Garnome 0.20.0. System is running Debian Sarge

The modifier key should be shift (for consistency with shift-clicking
a link).

This patch needs looking at ....

Applied in cvs on egg_branch. Had to make a few changes but it's the
same stuff.

The egg_branch has now been merged (after the 1.3.11 release), so will be fixed
in the next release.
