Description Robert Wilkens 2003-01-12 17:44:12 UTC
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: 2.0.8
Synopsis: Crashes regularly.. Using latest gtk (2.2.x) libraries but gnome 2.0 desktop
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: general
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.6)

Description:
Description of Problem:
Using Nautilus to browse files and directories causes nautilus to crash
quite often, I'm hoping the attached (?) crash file is useful. I'm
running debian "unstable" which means I have all the latest libraries
(gtk2.2.x, etc.)
Note that simply using the desktop icons is not ususally enough to
crash, instead I have to click on the "home" icon and start browsing
around one or two directories for the crash to occur.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Click the home icon (may be enough)
2. Click a subdirectory (if above wasn't enough)
3. Maybe click a file (I never got that far)

Actual Results:
Crash and "submit bug" button which got me here.

Expected Results:
No crash, something usable.

How often does this happen?
Often.

Additional Information:
None to report. I'm running debian unstable, so this is to be expected,
on the other hand, I guess I should report the bugs to the developers
(you guys) so they can be fixed.

Debugging Information:

Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus'
