GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 102809
[GNOMEVER2.3] Add Pango interfaces
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
WHen a document contains more than one language a font with glyphs for all the languages is required for printing it. A virtual font system that is available in Yudit will be a good idea. Combining multiple fonts which covers different ranges of unicode to form a virtual font.
This will be fixed when we provide interfaces to print PangoLayouts or PangoGlyphStrings, since those will contain multiple fonts inside it.

Any progress on this, ie printing of multi lang text. I have been doing some testing with Devanagari script printing in gedit. A log is at http://www.indlinux.org/wiki/index.php?IndicGnomePrinting Karunakar
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-print-list/2004-June/msg00001.html Includes a large patch that redoes the Pango integration. This should be sufficient to be able to print anything that Pango can display on the screen. It will, however, also require application modifications.

Resolving as a duplicate of an essentially similar bug that has a lot more duplicates and CC's. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 125762 ***
