I am testing out Giga New which has a download cap.

What I was thinking of is pan keeping track of how much is downloaded.

It can be a column or two in the News Server Dialog.
Daily amount
Monthly amount


Some things to add to the configuration are

Daily roll over time
Monthly roll over time (end of month)
% free (Giga News allows for %150 downloads so a simple counter would be off)
Include headers

a basic version was committed to master

This has been reverted in master a few years ago, changing the resolution.
