Description:

When I logged on the system asked me if I wanted to upgrade to Gnome 1.4 with nautilus and I said ok. I agreed to move to new preferences, but I landed with a desktop with no icons on the taksbar.

And no menu!

This looks like bug 67974 (which is marked as a duplicate of bug
69333) - read 67974 for suggestions. 69333 may have information as well.
