Steps: 

1.  Close all open gnome-terminal windows.
2.  Launch gnome-terminal.
3.  Type: SHIFT-CTRL-T

I will attach a screenshot of the problem.

I am building gnome-termal from CVS (HEAD), so I am using vte.
