GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 100660
When creating a new tab for the first time, window size is restored to default size
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-terminal Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.1.3 2.1.2 Synopsis: When creating a new tab for the first time, window size is restored to default size Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal Bugzilla-Component: general Description: Description of Problem: This bug may relate to bug #99220 which I've reported earlier. Summary describes it pretty much. So this only happens when creating a new tab for the first time, though. Starting from creation of 3rd tab, window size remains non-resized as expected. This fact makes me think resolving bug #99220 might have a positive effect on this bug also. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Launch gnome-terminal 2. Resize the window, smaller, bigger, doesn't matter 3. Create a new tab Actual Results: The effects described in bug #99220 and the gnome-terminal window is resized to the default size Expected Results: A new tab is created and the window size remains as it was. How often does this happen? Always Additional Information: Debian GNU/Linux, Athlon PC, Gnome 2.2 snapshot compiled from Gnome CVS on the 11/20/2002 and installed in clean prefix. Metacity window manager, if that matters. gnome-terminal is using vte. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2002-12-08 08:52 ------- The original reporter (tj@shakti.tky.hut.fi) of this bug does not have an account here. I can reproduce this with latest Ximian snapshot, so confirming and adding keywords.
Closing.
