GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 100221
We need IPTC-Header support for jpeg-files
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
IPTC-Headers is a standard that allows entering Meta-information to jpeg's. It is expected from press photographers that they transmit their pictures to redactions according to this standard. The only hindrance that keeps press-photographers away from using Gimp is the lack of IPTC-support. Martin
You will find much more information about that in bug #94416. By the way, I think that the lack of CMYK support and EXIF support are other things that keep press-photographers away from using GIMP... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 94416 ***
