Description compwiz 2002-12-01 17:15:26 UTC
This is a submission of Debian bug #15718. I'm not sure if it's the same as
GIMP bug #88085, but this encompasses almost every tool, especially
transforms, beziers, and selections. It also happens for me, only when
using a Radeon 64MB AGP with XFree86 4.2. It works fine on my ATI Rage
Mobility. If this is an X bug, I do not see it with any other application,
so there must be something in the GIMP which is triggering it. I'll attach
a few screenshots when I get back to my Radeon machine later today.

When I try to rotate a image in gimp a grid will be showing. When moving
this grid the screen will get more and mor black because the old lines
will not be removed. This also happens when I use other tools which uses
lines.

This surely is a duplicate of bug 88085 and almost definitely an
X-Server problem. Someone should write a small test case in plain XLib
that draws lines in a XOR graphics context. I'm pretty sure this will
show the same problems on the affected hardware.
