Description Johnathan Bailes 2002-10-17 02:01:41 UTC
There is no place to hold permanent options for Samba browsing.

What kinds of options? The ability to specify whether or not
to browse as a user and a default place to keep the default user and
password information. There is also no way to set a Default Browser and
to import a LMHOSTS file. Does this sound a bit like LinNeighborhood?
It should and gnome-vfs extras needs these kinds of options.

Logically it seems that it should go in the gnome-vfs properties capplet as
another tab or as a Samba browsing capplet.

Default browser and such obscure options can be set from
~/.smb/smb.conf and /etc/samba/smb.conf

The username/password stuff is a duplicate of #76646
