GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 85023
Searchtool - "Del" key adds "." in searchtool text fields
Last modified: 2011-02-04 16:10:03 UTC
Pressing the "Del" key will add "." (fullstops) in the all the searchtool text fields (Starting in folder, Find files named & all rules text fields on Advanced tab).
Hum, another one I can't repeat...maybe my build is not recent enough.
This only happens for me when numlock is set, as it should. Linux, searchthing 1.108.0
Damn, there's 2 delete keys on a solaris keyboard [sigh]. Anyway, John is correct here. Closing.
so the expected behaviour for the 'non-number-pad' del key when num lock is on is to print "." instead of deleting? this isn't what happens in any text editor or browser or any other text field that I've tried it in - i'm not sure that this should be closed - i reckon this is a bug - Luis?
It's non-number pad? eurgh. I guess this is a problem with gtk, and whatever patches we are using. Owen you can ignore this one for the moment until we figure out who's fault it is.
this behaviour is also present in gdict
Is this not basically the same thing as bug 79184?
Yup, I think so...just checking first though. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 79184 ***
so this is specific to sun keyboards?
this appears to be fixed in a build form 25th July - closing
