GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 794032
GNOME Translation Robot can be a commit author
Last modified: 2018-03-05 08:49:49 UTC
Apparently, you can choose “--” as the committer, which creates commits with both author and committer as “GNOME Translation Robot <gnome-sysadmin@gnome.org>”, like here: https://git.gnome.org/browse/orca/commit/?id=fc6aadaab0af92947f3f94c3817a463076e7b5d4
It turns out the Dutch translation was wrong. “Commit author” was translated as “Committer”. So, you can choose “--” as the commit author, which creates commits with both author and committer as “GNOME Translation Robot”.
To be clear, do you suggest to replace the '--' option (and value) with the name of the current connected user?
I guess so, unless there is a better way to avoid anonymous commits.
Should be fixed, thanks for the report. https://git.gnome.org/browse/damned-lies/commit/?id=deb2ddb3da85d7952bdc322fe7c56cbb2a03e818
