Description Dan Jacobson 2017-07-14 00:46:23 UTC
Browse
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=quicksearch.html#shortcuts
(No matter from the command line, or a new tab URL bar.)

Why does the cursor end up sitting in the first form entry box?

Why are we not taken to the anchor requested?

Note if we click the "Advanced Shortcuts" link on the page itself, we are finally taken to the right spot (despite it being the same URL#Anchor.)

Yuck. Fragments have been broken for too long. Dan, since you've been reporting lots of bugs recently, would you mind checking in MiniBrowser (I guess /usr/lib/webkit2gtk-4.0/MiniBrowser on Debian?) before reporting them against Epiphany? If the bug exists in MiniBrowser, then it will be more efficient to skip GNOME Bugzilla and go straight to WebKit Bugzilla.

Thanks for taking the time to report this.
This issue is most likely a bug in WebKit. Please report the bug to https://bugs.webkit.org/ including a link to this bug report and noting the version of WebKitGTK+ that you have installed. When reporting the WebKit bug, be sure to include the prefix '[GTK]' in the bug summary and select the 'WebKit Gtk' component.
