Created attachment 353657 [details]
First menu entry shows default application (OK), second entry shows option to change default application (BAD)

If user selects a file and clicks right mouse button, menu displays just two options (other options are not necessary to mention):
Open With Default APP
Open With other.

Second menu entry changes default association, but sometimes user needs to open just with different application without changing default application.

Open With ... Was a good option, but in newest versions of gnome-shell this option is missing.

Actually, I think what the reporter mentions is https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=747706, which then translates to asking for providing an option that doesn't set as default the app.

Maybe it’s best if the reporter tells us. :p

Yeah, those bugs are the same issue! I/We need back „Open With“ submenu!

The issue is that "Open with" changes the default association, when it shouldn't right? And therefore your issue is https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=747706 right?

To add to that: would not having the submenu still be an issue if it didn’t change the type association?

I think it will be an issue not having the submenu.

Just count mouse-clicks.
