GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 772878
Taking a screenshot or screencast on Wayland with multiple monitors does not capture all of them
Last modified: 2016-10-14 15:42:35 UTC
Created attachment 337621 [details] example screenshot Running current Fedora 25, with gnome-shell 3.22.1. I have two monitors attached: [adamw@adam Pictures]$ xrandr Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 2160 x 1920, maximum 8192 x 8192 XWAYLAND0 connected 1080x1920+1080+0 480mm x 270mm 1080x1920 59.96*+ XWAYLAND1 connected 1080x1920+0+0 480mm x 270mm 1080x1920 59.96*+ if I hit the 'print screen' key to take a screenshot, I get a screenshot, but only one screen's contents are actually visible. There's a big transparent area where the contents of the other screen should be. Attaching an example screenshot - in the big transparent area on the right hand side there *should* be a Firefox window with this very bug report open. :)
This also affects screencasts (shift-ctrl-alt-r), apparently.
