Description Hangman 2016-06-29 19:04:55 UTC
I don't know if it's the right section to post, it's more related to print dialog

When you try to print several images on same pages, preview will only show the current selected image and will print only this one.

Steps to reproduce

- Go into a folder with several images
- Multipe select
- Right click / Open in image viewer
- Files/Print
- Tab "Layout"
- Select "Pages by side"
- Choose two or more
- Click on preview or print

Result : only one image is showed or print.

Tested on Ubuntu 16.04 with latest update with gnome image viewer and shotwell (shotwell doesn't show any image on preview....)
Tested on Solus 1.2 with latest update

Same problem on Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon & Fedora 24, printer dialog is the same on all those systems
Comment 2 Emmanuele Bassi (:ebassi) 2016-07-01 10:48:33 UTC
The contents of the preview are provided the by application.
Comment 3 Hangman 2016-07-02 08:06:26 UTC
Ok, I have tested with gthumb, it works well but not with Shotwell, Eye of Mate, Xviewer on Mint, and not with the on included in Solus (I don't which one it is...).
So I don't understand the exact source of the problem....

It's not exactly a "problem" but more a (really) longstanding limitiation of eog's printing capabilities. :(

The problem back in the days was that loading images from outside the image collection didn't work so nice back then and that the resulting PDF that was sent to the printer had the ability to choke some (low-mem) laser printers.
