Missing Characters Screenshots

I have installed Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 and later 15.10 (amd64) to test / play with Wayland Gnome Shell. On 15.04 the gnome-terminal application was missing lots of characters, and since I frequently use terminal, it was unusable to me. When I installed 15.10, I immediately checked out gnome-terminal and it seemed fine. I currently have gnome-shell version 3.16.4-0ubuntu1 installed and found that characters was missing in Acrobat reader. I have a feeling it is either a gnome-shell, XWayland, or wayland driver problem. When you hover over the captions missing characters, they sometime do appear. I have attached screenshots to better explain the problem.

This looks like it could be related to bug 728158. Or bug 744714.
