Description radai 2015-09-03 09:27:46 UTC
i selected several folders (which are on an ext4 partition on a 3-drive raid5 mdraid device), hit right click -> properties and the properties dialog ran in an infinite loop counting the files and size. seems like the file#/size calculation restarts over and over again and never completes. i've uploaded a video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKNdWPAPv1E

my phone had issues focusing properly but i think the problem is clearly visible in the video - file and size counters reset several times.

i ran it for 15 minutes - it never completed.

this is gnome-shell 3.16.3-1.fc22 on a fedora 22 x64 workstation running kernel 4.1.6-200.fc22 (most up to date for fedora at the time of this writing)

This looks related to bug 703349.

I can also reproduce this bug, both with version 3.16.2 and 3.17.90.

Examples which trigger it for me:
- selecting both ~/jhbuild/checkout and ~/jhbuild/install
- selecting both /usr/lib and /usr/lib64

I am also experiencing this bug, in gnome 3.18.5 on Fedora 23. I noticed it with a complex folder subtree ("windows" directory of a win7 installation).
