Description Shane O'Connor 2002-03-14 10:32:01 UTC
The 'Preview' button is missing from the Gtk+ Theme Selector capplet. In
addition to this the checkbox for automatic preview is missing.

This prevents users from previewing any selected themes.

Tested in beta2 (14/03/02).
Comment 1 Rachel Hestilow 2002-03-14 19:59:46 UTC
The gtk+ theme selector, like the other capplets, is auto-apply, which
means an explicit "preview" button is redundant and makes no sense.
Comment 2 Luis Villa 2002-03-14 20:56:15 UTC
Is it actually auto-applying ATM?
Comment 3 Shane O'Connor 2002-03-15 11:18:08 UTC
No the theme selector is not auto applying changes - see bugid 73585.

Question: Is the preview scree in the theme selector capplet now
redundant? If the capplet is (instant) auto-apply then there is no
need for a preview screen - or is there? I suppose it does allow a
user to preview the theme without having to open any apps to see the
effects of the theme.
In any case the preview scree does not auto preview so atm does
nothing.

Once bug 73585 is fixed this will be irrelevant. Closing as a dup,
though that's not /strictly/ accurate. Close enough.
