Why does the track list scroll down if multiple are selected? This is annoying

This is a long-standing bug that was fixed in 2.2.5.

Only partially. I just tried 2.2.5 and when I doubleclick the list to select all it still scrolls to the bottom

That is a separate problem, covered by bug 741318.
