GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 728158
Missing letters in the shell's UI
Last modified: 2020-12-05 19:40:19 UTC
I just noticed missing letter in the UI. In the attached screenshot, look at the date in the panel, as well as the window title.

Running on Intel Haswell with Mesa 10.1.
Is the date in the top bar the only place this happens?
There have been reports of this in the past, see at least bug 647588 and bug 719916. Sounds like a driver bug but it's possible we're doing something silly.
(In reply to comment #3) > Is the date in the top bar the only place this happens? Nop, it happens in the overview as well as the window title bar too.
Just adding that restarting the shell fixes the problem. Could well be a driver problem...

Has someone seen this in a more recent version (3.28 / 3.30) again?
Yes, in 3.28: https://launchpad.net/bugs/1774053
