GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 724268
Empathy doesn't allow to edit contact's group.
Last modified: 2015-06-08 16:59:11 UTC
Created attachment 268984 [details] Show-case Empathy doesn't allow me to move contacts from Jabber account between groups. In previous version I did it via popup-menu->Edit. But now this item is disabled.
Same here on Fedora 20. Edit menu is disabled for all contacts (in my case, google and facebook).
Attempting to drag-and-drop into different groups doesn't work either.
This bug was reported quite long time ago. Is it moving somehow? I see this under Fedora 20 with version empathy-3.10.3-1.fc20.x86_64
I have the same problem. If I use "Edit" from the PopUp-Menu, I can add values to the contcat, but I cannot change the group. My old contacts are still displayed in groups, but any new contacts is added to "ungrouped". Using Fedora 20 with empathy-3.10.3-1.fc20.x86_64. I expected, that I can move the entry into the right group directly in empathy.
Same issue with openSUSE 13.2, Gnome 3.14.2, Empathy 3.12.8...
Perhaps a duplicate of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=669747 ?
Yes the bug 669747 seems to be similar. Both bugs are now over one year old. Any plan to fix this?!

(In reply to Sven Anders from comment #7) > Any plan to fix this?! Nobody is working on Empathy :(
