Package: panel Version: 1.4.0.4 Severity: >Synopsis: can't run panel anymore >Class: sw-bug System: redhat 7.2 >Description: in my ~/.gnome/session file, it automatically launches panel every time I start X. But for some reason, panel has stopped working. I can't think of any change I made between logins between now panel no longer works at all. I can't launch it normally from an xterm window either. Everytime it runs, it dies with a seg fault here: #0 0x08083810 in get_default_menu_flags () at eval.c:41 #1 0x08068076 in load_up_globals () at eval.c:41 #2 0x0805eca7 in main () at eval.c:41 #3 0x4050a507 in __libc_start_main (main=0x805ea10 <main>, argc=2, ubp_av=0xbffff7d4, init=0x8056b50 <_init>, fini=0x80ab690 <_fini>, rtld_fini=0x4000dc14 <_dl_fini>, stack_end=0xbffff7cc) at ../sysdeps/generic/libc-start.c:129 >How-To-Repeat: can't start panel at all. every time I try to run panel it crashes. but panel always worked before. suddenly stopped working. I've tried to remove old panel config files in case any were corrupted but that has not helped perhaps an old panel config file is needed but is now missing . . . ? ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2002-02-09 14:25 ------- The original reporter (johnbent@cs.wisc.edu) of this bug does not have an account here.
