Description Ryan Lerch 2013-10-07 14:27:42 UTC
Running Fedora 20 (GNOME 3.10), this my system tray reports that my battery is low, even though the label next to it reports that the battery is fully charged. (see attached screenshot)

Comment 2 Ryan Lerch 2013-10-07 15:45:52 UTC
It seems that the system tray is reporting the low battery because my wireless mouse battery is low.
Comment 3 Ryan Lerch 2013-10-07 17:48:12 UTC
I have also filed https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=709586, as my mouse battery also seems to be getting erroneously reported. (although IMHO don't think this has anything to do with this issue.)
Comment 4 Bastien Nocera 2013-10-07 18:36:44 UTC
This is the mouse battery getting in the shell's status bar. We should only show laptop batteries there, we already have a notification for mouse on low battery.

power: Never show a mouse as the status icon

Because we end up showing the critical mouse as the status icon.
