On windows, there are some out of place colors and incorrect padding in 2.5.x

This partly relates to the overall gui and partly to the new register gui.

Attached image shows these with notes.
Not sure if this is a windows specific gtk thing?

Thank you for your report. I have looked at the attached image. None of this is Windows specific :)

Of the four issues you point out, three of them are specific to the new register code, one is universal.

This makes it more difficult to manage in one bug report. For this reason, I'll split it up. The issue of the tab labels having a different background colour will be tracked by bug 711440. Any further comments regarding this issue should be added to that bug.

Bug 701390 (this bug) will be kept for the visual issues with register2.

Note: since register2 is no longer targeted for 2.6, I have removed the milestone.
