GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 694879
Can't switch language using keyboard shortcut
Last modified: 2013-04-14 20:22:35 UTC
Created attachment 237625 [details] screenshot When in overview, I can't switch language using the keyboard shortcut 'Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Typing -> Modifiers-only switch to next source' (I use Alt-Shift). I can switch language using the 'Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Typing -> Switch to next input source' and 'Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Typing -> Switch to previous input source' shortcut (I use the default Super-Space) or using the top panel. When entering a password for changing system settings (see screenshot), I also can't use 'Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Typing -> Modifiers-only switch to next source' , but only 'Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Typing -> Switch to next input source' and 'Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Typing -> Switch to previous input source' I can't use the top panel to switch language when entering password, but the language code in the top panel does change when using the shortcut that work. I have English and Hebrew.

It will be fixed before releasing 3.8 ? I'm a what-master version and the bug exists.

(In reply to comment #4) > This means that until 27 March (Release 3.8) bug probably will not be repaired? We are getting close to the release, but the intention is still to address this issue for 3.8.

Won't be fixed in 3.8, sorry. Currently targeting 3.8.1.

(In reply to comment #8) > The bug is not fixed. > > bug 689839 Not repaired. Yes, nobody claimed otherwise. The issue is tracked in bug 697008 now, which has patches.
Sorry. I realized that's not true.
GNOME 3.8.1 is coming. Someone working on this bug?
