Description Michael Catanzaro 2012-11-04 23:17:13 UTC
baobab.desktop registers as a MIME handler for inode/directory, with some unfortunate consequences:

1) Download any file in Epiphany and click "Show in Folder" -> folder opens in Baobab instead of in Nautilus

2) Inserting removable media (external hard drive or USB stick) triggers a notification prompt to open in Baobab instead of Nautilus

Comment 1 Stefano Facchini 2012-11-05 09:03:46 UTC
Archlinux should install a list of default MIME handlers, I think.
Comment 2 Ionut Biru 2012-11-05 10:49:25 UTC
why this is needed? we never did that for years and everything worked out of the box until now.
Comment 3 Paolo Borelli 2012-11-05 16:14:40 UTC
We added this so that you could right click on a folder and have "open in baobab".

Nautilus is not really offering the choice on folders at the moment, so I am not really attached to it... That said this really seems a distro problem, all the other distros manage just fine and the problem of defining good default mime handlers is a generic one that would come up also with other applications.
