Export image as JPEG: save defaults doesn't save quality setting
Last modified: 2012-11-03 11:17:04 UTC
In Gimp 2.6, I set up my preferred defaults for saving jpegs (quality, subsampling, etc.) and all were saved and automatically used when I saved another image (usually imported from RAW photos). Since installing Gimp 2.8, the quality setting doesn't get saved. Every time I go to save a picture it's defaulting to 90% rather than my preferred 95%. Only a small problem, but a niggling one. To be clear what I'm doing: 1. File --> Export --> click Export button. 2. Dialogue appears. 3. Alter quality to required percentage. 4. Click "save defaults" 5. Save file. Import another RAW file and repeat as far as 2. Instead of my 95% setting, it's at 90%. Clicking "Load defaults" doesn't make any difference, so my guess is it's just not being saved.
