GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675755
"Power off" button sometimes not responding
Last modified: 2012-10-17 19:15:38 UTC
I can't reproduce the error. It happens me 5 times in two weeks. How I can provide you more information when it happens? Also, it also happens without any extensions.
Please attach your ~/.xsession-errors after the problem happens.
Also, when it happens, gnome-session is at 100% of CPU, but I don't know if it happens every time that this bug happens. I atach the xsession-errors, but I didn't see nothing relevant inside. Also sorry for the garbage in the file, I think that the garbage is due to the gnome-shell theme I have installed. Xsession errors: http://pastebin.com/kc5RTYr9
There are tons of: > (gnome-terminal:2870): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme parsing error: gnome-applications- > gray.css:163:22: Not using units is deprecated. Assuming 'px'. > > (gnome-shell:1688): St-WARNING **: Couldn't parse family in font property Are you using an extension or a theme for the Shell and for GTK+? This may explain some oddities, and at any rate hide relevant logs.
as I say yes, I have a gnome-shell theme and GTK theme creating a lot of xsessions errors, but when I disable the theme still have the "power off" error. Do you want that I disable the themes and put here the xsession-errors when the bug happens again?
Yes, please, this might be useful.
"Luckely" it happens now. Also, gnome-shell is at 100% of cpu and not allowed to open some applications. xsession-errors: http://pastebin.com/7fFLCvAQ
I see some libfolks messages, and it has been known to consume a lot of CPU and freeze gnome-shell times to times. We removed folks since 3.6 from shell's process, could you please verify if you can still reproduce this bug with GNOME 3.6 and no shell extensions installed please?
from 2 months on I can't reproduce. So it's seems to be fixed indirectly in some update. Closing bug as fixed.
