GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 674835
Banshee Creates Duplicate Playlists Every Time iPod Synced
Last modified: 2012-12-15 01:14:33 UTC
Created attachment 212838 [details] Banshee Debug Log As the title says, every time I sync my iPod, Banshee creates duplicate playlists on the iPod. My observation is Banshee does not recognize the playlists on my iPod when connected (it recognizes music and videos in my iPod, though). So, I guess Banshee is trying to create new playlists because it can't recognize the playlists that already exist in my iPod. Additional info: - Sync mode is configured as; * All music and all videos to be synced * Sync manually - System: Ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10. - Banshee version: Latest version in the Ubuntu repositories - iPod type: iPod Video (5th gen.) and iPod Classic (160GB) Please consider fixing this problem.

Oh, Forage, you finally around! Nice to hear from you. Hideyuki, to confirm what Forage says, can you tell us if your system is 64bits or 32bits please?

Hideyuki, we're now pretty sure you were affected by this Debian/Ubuntu bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libgpod/+bug/1070631 So I'm going to close this as a duplicate of bug 684876 which has been market as NOTGNOME. In bug 684876 comment 19 you have instructions to upgrade your banshee to fix this. Thanks for your bug report! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 684876 ***
