GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 663199
offer to remove chat from tray when person goes offline
Last modified: 2021-07-05 14:39:57 UTC
When I'm chatting with someone and they go offline often I go over to the summary and remove the chat. It might be nice to offer to remove the chat when we see an "N is offline" message. Probably just offering a "Remove" button in the bubble is fine. We'd have to remove it again when/if they come back online.
Jon, isn't this fundamentally the same as (and thus a duplicate of) bug #657278 ?
No. This is about having an explicit action and the other is about automatic removal.
Yes, but I mean... why would you care about removing manually when you have it done automatically anyway?
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled). If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent and supported software version, then please follow https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines and create a new ticket at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/ Thank you for your understanding and your help.
