Badly rendered characters

Reassigning to pango.
DejaVuSansMono doesn't cover those characters, so you get it from another font. Expected behavior as far as Pango's concerned. Please file with DejaVu fonts.
any idea which font is that (since you say DejaVuSansMono doesn't cover those)? I'm using fedora 13 thanks
Don't know. You can figure out by running 'pmap' on the process and grep'ing for "fonts".
that helped. most likely it's VL Gothic Regular. so where should I file bugs to get this solved? Gedit for using bad font? DejaVu for not providing glyphs? VL Gothic bugzilla for providing badly proportionate glyphs? Fedora since it's my distribution?
