Description Philipp Weissenbacher 2011-04-20 22:39:38 UTC
If you select a track,right-click and select "Delete from Drive" a dialog pops up asking if you're sure.
The current default selection is on "Cancel", though "OK" would be better.

When enabling deletion (no trashing) of files, the Gnome desktop's default selection is on "OK".

This smells like a WONTFIX.

I think it's better to default to safety.
Comment 2 Gabriel Burt 2011-04-27 01:20:23 UTC
I'm inclined to agree with Andrés.
Comment 3 Michael Martin-Smucker 2011-04-27 01:37:09 UTC
From the GNOME Hig[1]: "Do not make a button the default if its action is irreversible..." Since Banshee's current behavior for deleting is to remove the track permanently, I would say this is either a WONTFIX or blocked by Bug 545937.

Comment 4 Andrés G. Aragoneses (IRC: knocte) 2011-04-27 10:02:46 UTC
That is a good compromise, Michael.
Comment 5 André Klapper 2020-03-17 09:28:01 UTC
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
