GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 632828
Multi-line paste with bullets breaks redo
Last modified: 2017-07-31 12:37:56 UTC
1. Create a bulleted list of few lines 2. Select few lines and copy them 3. Paste them somewhere in note 4. Perform undo so that some of these bulleted lines get removed. 5. Perform redo to get them back => The lines appear unindented, bullets are now simple text. I have tracked down the cause of this in Gnote. See comment #4 in Gnote Bug 588098.
I have submitted and experimental patches to corresponding Gnote Bug 588098. They probably don't solve the problem completely and introduce new bugs, so it would be nice to have more eyes on them. It should be very easy to port them to Tomboy.
Hi Aurimas. I just want to say big thanks for reporting these bugs back to Tomboy, and with fixes! I've been a bit too busy to look at them but will make sure to prioritize them for this cycle. I assume you're fine with the Tomboy port of your fixes being considered as LGPL2 instead of GPL3?

The Tomboy team has moved from GNOME Bugzilla to GitHub for bug reports and feature requests: https://github.com/tomboy-notes/tomboy/issues/ Closing this report as NOTGNOME as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping (bug 781054) to keep tasks in one place. Please feel free to transfer this task to GitHub if this task is still valid in a recent Tomboy version. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
