Description:
System boots to init 3.  Log in as normal user, type 'startx'.  gnome starts to load, shows usual progress stuff, but then a message pops up to say 'panel' has crashed.  Retry numerous times with same result.

Am running RH7.2 on a Dell Inspiron 8100 with nvidia's drivers.
