Copied verbatim from Ubuntu bug tracker

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu Maverick
Evolution 2.30.2-0ubuntu7

Not a bug, as such, but a papercut (if you're still doing those?)
Marking as read a nested email folder triggers redundant dialog

Create new folder in inbox, called "parent"
Create new folder in "parent" called "child"
New emails arrive, and moved (via filter) to "child"

Select "child" and mark all messages as read
Dialog appears, asking:
Also mark messages in subfolders?
Do you want to mark messages as read in current folder only, or in the current folder as well as all subfolders?

Dialog redundant, as "child" folder has no subfolders

Two options provided (current only, and surrent + sub) produce the same result
Ie. msgs in "child" folder marked as read

"Parent" folder remains unchanged (as expected)
