GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 625075
Nested Folders & Mark as Read - Redundant Dialog
Last modified: 2010-07-23 03:38:26 UTC
Copied verbatim from Ubuntu bug tracker https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/608462 Binary package hint: evolution Ubuntu Maverick Evolution 2.30.2-0ubuntu7 Not a bug, as such, but a papercut (if you're still doing those?) Marking as read a nested email folder triggers redundant dialog Create new folder in inbox, called "parent" Create new folder in "parent" called "child" New emails arrive, and moved (via filter) to "child" Select "child" and mark all messages as read Dialog appears, asking: Also mark messages in subfolders? Do you want to mark messages as read in current folder only, or in the current folder as well as all subfolders? Dialog redundant, as "child" folder has no subfolders Two options provided (current only, and surrent + sub) produce the same result Ie. msgs in "child" folder marked as read "Parent" folder remains unchanged (as expected) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: evolution 2.30.2-0ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-9.14-generic 2.6.35-rc5 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-9-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Jul 21 23:02:42 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: evolution
