Last modified: 2012-02-24 09:51:52 UTC
in chat window if I copy some older conversation text and then write something in the text box and try to copy that text with ctrl+c text is not copied. it works if copied with right click

This seems to have been resolved in 2.32.0.1 (ubuntu version 2.32.0.1-0ubuntu1) can anyone confirm?
Indeed, seems to work fine now.
steps to reproduce: open a chat with someone you already have chatted before, type something into the text field and copy it either with ctrl+c or right click. now select any of the previous conversation text and press ctrl+c now try to paste the text, the old copied text(the one in the text box) is pasted. re-opening.
at me, Ctrl+C not work in normal chat over jabber, I have to use rightclicl -> copy
I still can't reproduce this bug with master. If someone can it would be good if it could do some digging.
in Empathy 2.34.0 still persists
Perhaps it does work in 3.x.x but since 2.34.x is in Natty it may not be working there. Where in the code does empathy take care of supporting ctrl+c and ctrl+v ? I think it's very much worth a SRU in Natty if we can find out where the code is.
I can confirm this in 2.34
I just tested this with master ( 0dc2ba9ea63c7d7d7f46b4d4e8b9311dfad823bb ) and I can reproduce it
any work around here
