It was not reproducible for me initially. Then tried multiple MAPI accounts :) voila, happens in that scenario :) Assigning it.
Why would we want to change the current behavior to strip the email ids of the accounts which is already configured on that machine. Say for example a friend of mine, sends a mail to personal+official email ids and i have both of them configured in one client. It would be great if the personal email id is stripped why replying from official account. So I feel this behaves better for this case.. Will this bug be an issue with proxy case ?
The issue: -> Reply to all strips the mail ids of all accounts configured on a user's machine. Yep as discussed, proxy should also be affected. Haven't tested it though. Maybe the case you mentioned is a one off case, but we cannot expect some magic for it :) You cannot silently strip off a recipient because you have the account configured. You cannot document such a case to the user. I tried to find the history of when we changed this, but couldn't get it. But yes we need to change this behavior. I wanted to know if this was changed for a reason.
