I've applied a patch that should fix the crash, but I don't know why the display_name was NULL, it should never be.
gThumb can still crash if you plug/unplug the camera repeatedly. Probably the same as bug 614219. - Mike
Closing this bug as fixed, because gThumb no longer crashes with this particular backtrace. Related bug 614219 is still a work in progress. - Mike
