Description Paul Kuliniewicz 2010-03-12 02:55:14 UTC
Banshee won't play Internet radio streams if it's launched via D-Bus activation. It does play them if it's launched via the GNOME menu or from the command line.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Shut down Banshee.

2. Run the command: dbus-send --print-reply --session --dest=org.freedesktop.DBus /org/freedesktop/DBus org.freedesktop.DBus.StartServiceByName string:"org.bansheeproject.Banshee" uint32:0

3. Select a radio stream

4. Press the Play button

Expected behavior:

Banshee starts playing the stream.

Actual behavior:

Nothing. There is no indication that Banshee even attempts to connect to the server; the status never changes from "Idle".

I've verified this with Banshee 1.5.1 and 1.5.5, both on Ubuntu Karmic.

I think this might be another symptom of bug #486543 :
When the current directory is /, Banshee fails to parse playlists.
