Description Gil Forcada 2009-09-20 08:11:51 UTC
I have a external monitor (VGA) attached with my laptop (LVDS) and when an application (say Evolution) creates a new screen (right-clicking an selecting the Properties option) that is shown on the middle of both screens (I have one screen next to the other).

It's quite annoying since you have to drag the window to one of the screens to see it clearly.

As I was filling this bug I found out that not all dialogs behave the same way, so I don't know if this bug should be filled as metacity bug or as a Evolution bug ...

Feel free to move it to Evolution if it's the case.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you can still reproduce this issue in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/metacity/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
