GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 588448
Reports nonexisting unread messages in IMAP folders
Last modified: 2010-05-12 08:54:47 UTC
From https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/398527: In some IMAP folders, evolution constantly reports a number of unread messages - even though there are no messages in the folder at all. Other IMAP clients like Thunderbird do not have this problem with the same folder, so I think it is a problem with Evolution and not the IMAP server. I have attached a screenshot of the problem. The IMAP server is a Cyrus IMAP4 v2.2.13-Debian-2.2.13-14ubuntu3

(In reply to comment #3) > *** Bug 593698 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This bug is about problems with an IMAP folder. All the folders on the system experiencing bug 593698 are local. Can Nikolaus make the report of unread messages go away by using a method similar to the one described in 593698?
No, setting 'Show' to 'unread' and back to 'All' does not fix the problem (currently there are no messages in the folder at all, so there is no letter icon to click, but I remember trying that as well without success)
I am getting this also atm. Is there any data I could collect to help with hunting this bug down?
