GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 586634
Gecko script should use speech generator as much as possible
Last modified: 2014-09-13 07:55:33 UTC
When a user accesses non-ARIA HTML content (e.g., most pages in the world today), the Gecko script makes little use of the speech generators. We should look to refactor the Gecko script's internals to use the speech generator if possible.

(3.0 Planning Spam-o-rama. Sorry!)
Given everything else on the to-do list, non-critical Gecko-related bugs are going to have to wait until after 3.0, unless someone volunteers to do them.
I'll take a shot at this one. I wonder if fixing this bug might help with the system voice changes recently pushed to Master.
You may or may not want this one. Trust me. <smile> As for the system voice changes, I'll be resuming that soon. I've actually started on it already; just not committed it. I'm trying to knock out things with string changes since that freeze is fast approaching.
