Description Daevid Vincent 2009-03-30 22:23:16 UTC
Either make them case IN-sensitive, or at least have an option on the rule to do this. Procmail has worked brilliantly for years with case in-sensitivity recipes, not sure why Evolution feels a need to be case sensitive.

Other information:
It's stupid that "barbara.morrison@my.company.com" and "Barbara.Morrison@my.company.com" are treated as separate "Senders" and therefore only one rule will trigger OR I have to add all possible combinations of spelling and capitalization to my rule.

At the VERY least, email addresses should be insensitive. But I still think it would be painful to try and guess every spammer's version of "Viagra, VIAGRA, Acai Berry, ACAI Berry, acai BERRY", etc...

I'm told by some friends that my words were a little harsh. Ironically, I thought I was trying to not be my usual douche-bag self. I apologize for that (...and there is no way it seems to either delete the bug to re-enter, or edit the bug itself).

According to Camel's source code, header substring matching -- whether for searching or filtering, it's the same code -- is only case-sensitive when the user's search string has uppercase letters. Otherwise it's already case insensitive.
