Description Frederic Peters 2009-01-27 11:18:02 UTC
At the moment it is possible to edit a contact from the contact list, but not from the discussion window, Conversation / Contact has an "Informations" menu item, and no "Edit" menu item.

Still present with master.
Comment 2 Guillaume Desmottes 2012-02-03 10:00:21 UTC
I'm afraid to make this menu ever more crowded.

Nick, Allan: Is thing the chat window menu can benefit some redesign. Do you already have something in mind?

Contacts integration will definitely take the strain off here. Instead of having 'Information' and 'Edit' you can just have 'Open Contact'

What would 'Open Contact' do? Open the contact in gnome-contact? I'm all in favor of relying more on gnome-contacts but I see at least 2 issues here: gnome-contact doesn't allow to edit contact's group and doesn't display his location.

We are in the process of cleaning the menus; so let's just wait for bug #669747 to be fixed.
