Description gQuigs 2008-09-28 19:54:13 UTC
"I'm using totem 2.24 on intrepid.

Totem used to be able to keep playing a file even after you deleted, moved or renamed it. And I honestly always found it an extremely cool feature. But not anymore, now it will stop after any of these operations."

I've confirmed it, 2.22 totem can keep playing if the file is deleted moved or renamed.

2.24 simply stops playing with:
** Message: Error: Internal data flow error.
gstbasesrc.c(2240): gst_base_src_loop (): /play/source:
streaming task paused, reason not-linked (-1)

I have a hunch that removing this feature may have fixed some bugs (or security issues). If not, why was it removed?
