GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 536239
Selecting bluetooth devices only gives list of "n/a"
Last modified: 2009-02-26 10:23:56 UTC
The names of the devices, when trying to select your phone via bluetooth, are not shown. The list only shows many "n/a" entries, so that it's impossible to find out what my phone is.
Which version of gnome-bluetooth and libbtctl are you using? Any errors on the command-line?
I didn't have gnome-bluetooth installed at all. If it's a dependency, then perhaps the debian package should have the dependency defined. Anyway, after further testing, it looks like that _REALLY SLOWLY_ only _some_ of the names of the phones start to be resolved. Hitting on "Refresh" in the "Select device" dialog will freeze the UI for a long while. I have now installed gnome-bluetooth 0.9.1-1. The version of libbtctl4 is 0.9.0-2+b1.
