GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 535355
Be able to choose any titlebar color for theme
Last modified: 2008-06-07 15:22:51 UTC
Now when you use a theme you're stuck with the color. Such as use Human theme, you're stuck with brown. You should be able to pick a color of your own likening so that you can choose blue, green, yellow, white, orange, black, gray, purple, teal, pink or whatever you like. Check this awesome artwork that I made! * http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/317/coloredthemeyz9.png * http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/7682/colortheme2ls1.png * http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/5295/steelif5.png * http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/6933/rainbowzz5.png
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. However, this application does not track its bugs in the GNOME Bugzilla. We kindly ask you to report the bug to the application authors. For a selective list of other bug tracking systems please consult http://live.gnome.org/Bugsquad/TriageGuide/NonGnome. If the affected third party application has a bug tracking system you should investigate whether a bug for the reported issue is already filed in this system. If it has not been filed yet please do so. Also ensure that both bug reports contain a link to each other. Thanks in advance!
This sounds like a feature request for the gnome-appearance-properties to me. It would mean adding two new colours, and modifying all the themes to use them ... That said, I don't think adding more colours to the dialog is such a good idea (we specifically wanted as little colours to choose as possible). What Moo is requesting can be done by advanced users with a custom .gtkrc-2.0. Also this can be done with software like the gnome-color-chooser. https://launchpad.net/gnome-color-chooser
Pedro Villavicencio, Sorry I don't know which application to file this against, and where to find the place to file it.
Actually, this is the same issue as reported in bug 498854.
